The idea behind this website is to capture and record Historical Nenagh people of interest you may or may not have heard of. Not every one is born to be a General or a Politician. Some make an impact just by turning up or by beavering away in the background, unknown and oft times forgotten. Unfortunately those that leave Nenagh are sometimes subject to the human malaise of out of sight, out of mind and their deeds go unrecorded except possibly within the immediate family.

We may have been a small town but we have a history of large deeds. On this site we will learn of a Templederry woman at Eureka Stockade, a Persian Diplomat from Summerhill, or maybe the man from Brookwatson who was on the beaches at Normandy inspecting his work the day after the Invasion 0f 1944.
